Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!

Being with a group of friends and having that delightful yet frightening Halloween scare-- is a nice little rush. Halloween is almost here, and if you haven't already been to a haunted house, I suggest organizing a small field trip with some buddies. Just dress warm and bring some snacks. Most haunted houses have quite the wait in line. Don't let that stop you though! Sometimes waiting in line is most fun. Most places will have an array of ghoulish creatures + pro actors creeping in and around the line, looking for victims to scare.

It's that time of the month for pumpkin carving! Customers started posting up photos of their Johnny Cupcakes Pumpkins on the JC Facebook Group and some into the JC Pumpkin flickr pool. Have fun! Get creative! If I see something super original, maybe I'll give out a prize or 2?

Come hang out this Tuesday. I'll be traveling + bringing my lecture series to Northern Kentucky University-- which is right outside of Cincinnati, OH. This lecture is free and open to the public! Lecture starts sat 7:00pm, but doors open at 6:00pm.

Below you will find a video for the Johnny Cupcakes Lecture Series. Over the past few years I've been taking my Lecture Series both national + international. From inner city high schools to private academies, colleges to universities, & even private seminars.

To be honest, when I was first asked to lecture- I was kind of nervous. I even brought some extra deodorant with me for extra precaution. When I returned home from my lecture, I was sort of weary about doing another one. Grabbing some frozen Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies out of my freezer, I sat down to check my emails. To my surprise-- I found hundreds of e-mails in my inbox, from now inspired, motivated, excited students. After that I had a whole new positive outlook on lecturing (and I don't even need to bring extra deodorant!).

It makes me feel like I'm doing more than just making t-shirts. Even if my story + words of wisdom only inspires and motivates just one person, I feel as if I can die a happy guy.

I took a photo of this guy when I was at the Philly airport recently. I love how he's dead serious and probably has a gun in his right pocket-- but is just hanging out with his puppy in his jacket.

A few weeks back I had the opportunity to take part of the Step program.

Step helps bridge the gap that exists between high school education and career choices. Most students aren't really positive what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Rather than blindly rushing into school for the wrong career choice-- Step provides + sets up informative tours with different businesses throughout Boston.

Exposing students to this will ultimately give them a better understanding of business and the opportunity to make better informed decisions about their future careers.

Before my sister set up the tours of our shops, we gathered at Continuum outside of Boston for a meet & greet with all of the students.

Continuum is a behind-the-scenes design and innovation powerhouse. Taking some of the most simple yet complex ideas + concepts to the next levels. These are just a few items that they've been responsible for.

We had a wonderful dinner in Newton with some lovely people/higher-ups from the Boston schools, Continuum, and Step.

I think I nearly stayed up straight for 3 days. Sacramento State University lecture to LA's release, to Boston's release... and I'm about to head to Boston to present Ghostbusters. Forgive me if I look like slimer or Zuul from Ghostbusters..I certainly feel like it. I'm sure once I head into Boston my excitement will take over my tiredness just like it usually does!
