Johnny Cupcakes is the original unordinary bakeshop.

After starting out of the trunk of a car in 2001, Johnny Cupcakes has grown to be an exclusive, international brand with "faux-bakeries" in Boston, London and Los Angeles. Over the past 10 years, an inspiring community of collectors has formed, prompting customers to camp outside the stores for up to two weeks for limited edition product releases. Click through the story above to see more about the events, places and people that make up the brand.

3 Things: Monkey, Minty, Mickey

Ceramic Monkey A longtime friend of the family gave me a matching set of shiny ceramic monkeys seven months after I commented on her monkey curtains. I want to be as cool as this monkey someday.

Frozen Thin Mint Cookies The mother of all snacks! Putting Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies in the freezer creates a crisp, refreshing and addicting treat. I swear there’s gotta be some addictive ingredient in these that makes the average human reach for more.

Vintage Mickey Mask While digging through dusty antiques during a trip to visit the Johnny Cupcakes Los Angeles shop, I found this gem of all gems. This was an original Mickey Mouse head that was worn by umm… MICKEY! I believe it’s from the late 1950’s or early 1960’s. Creepy? Yeah. Awesome? Heck yeah! I’ve definitely worn this while going out for groceries. I’ll make my face sweat inside of an old mask any day if it’s going to make strangers smile.
