While in London with my dad this summer, I celebrated my 30th birthday. My good friend and London employee Maisie organized a bowling birthday party, where the staff, my dad, and I had a great night and some friendly competition.

We were also joined by my friend Jemma, who owns a great bakery, Crumbs and Doilies, where you can pick up some delicious, truly edible cupcakes, as well as pastries and cakes. Jemma made me a scrumptious cake that we all shared, and it was truly a celebration not only of my birthday, but the great team that has made the London store such a success.

Hanging out with them was definitely the highlight of my trip, and it’s always great to have some quality time with my dad in the UK. Since he and I have spent so much time here before, mostly during the buildout for the London store, we have our favorite shops and restaurants that we always try to stop by. Luckily, this trip featured more eating and fun than building.
