This past wednesday three companies from Massachusetts came together for a night of music, food, beverages, and socializing. Those three b(r)ands being us folks at Johnny Cupcakes, Worcester’s own Four Year Strong, and the world’s finest custom drum company: SJC Custom Drums. The event was to celebrate the release of a limited edition Johnny Cupcakes & Four Year Strong collaboration shirt, available exclusively in our online store.
As a way of helping out the state that spawned all of these companies, SJC created a custom drumhead with the shirt’s artwork to auction off, with all proceeds going to help The Greater Boston Food Bank. You can bid on this by going over to our Johnny Cupcakes eBay Vault.
The evening started and ended with perfectly quirky DJ sets by our new friend Emil, of the amazingly refreshing band Emil & Friends, and culminated in an acoustic performance by Four Year Strong. Alan and Dan of Four Year Strong were joined by a cello player and violinist as they played stripped down and reworked versions of some of their best tracks. To top it all off, there was plenty of great food being served by the wonderful staff at the venue, Lucky’s Lounge.
All in all it was a great night with great people, coming together for a good cause and enjoying one another’s company. The evening wouldn’t have happened were it not for our very own Danny Poulin, so a big thank you to him for all of his hard work and planning that made the night a great success.
