This past weekend we held our 6th annual There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix event, or to save a mouthful: SITCM. SITCM is how we celebrate Halloween at Johnny Cupcakes. Each year we make limited-edition & numbered shirts involving some sort of spooky or horrific theme.
This year’s theme was based on classic horror movies from various eras of cinema and to accompany each shirt we had teaser movie trailers produced by our good friend Tucker Bliss. To tie it all together, the shirts came packaged in VHS boxes with matching sleeve artwork.
The entire JC staff, from design to bakery staff, came together to make a wonderful experience filled with frightfully fun memories for our friends, customers, and family.
Below are some photos from both Los Angeles and Boston, the former shot by John Burke and the latter by Mike Dravis.
