To go along with the food theme of my Johnny Cupcakes t-shirt brand, we’ve once again taken over the Dock Street Coffee Shop in Edgartown Massachusetts—on Martha’s Vineyard (2 Dock Street.) Not only that, but this is where my mom was born, it’s where I’ve spent most of my childhood summers—and it’s where most of my family resides year round. This is our second year doing so, and it’s been a huge success! Many families and folks traveling from other states and even other countries—just to get their hands on these limited edition, Johnny Cupcakes x Martha’s Vineyard themed t-shirts. Some people even camped out! These are only available on this island while supplies last! Only a few days left…so hurry! We’re open tonight (Thursday night), Friday night, and Saturday night from 6pm-ish until 11pm-ish.
Every single day, there’s been an enormous line from the second we open, until the second we close. Don’t worry though, we try our best to keep it moving, while keeping everyone smiling, laughing, and I’ve even been busting out some magic tricks for everyone!

We even have some special edition t-shirts that the public can’t even see or purchase. The only way is if you roll our JC dice and get a pair of matching cupcake & crossbones. Each customer gets 3 chances to roll 5 dice. Good luck!
My mom and my aunt are making homemade cupcakes each night, which are given out for free to each customer. This usually confuses people even more—because even though this brand is called “Johnny Cupcakes” — we don’t really sell cupcakes. Just clothing with cupcakes and food on them.

Amy is a MV resident who always brings us—as well as strangers, delicious homemade treats. I’d usually say don’t accept candy from strangers…but Amy is an exception.
This long time customer from Virginia brought by a vintage Johnny Cupcakes ant t-shirt for me to sign. It’s always nice seeing customers bring out their collectable treasures.
Friends, family, designers, laughing squad—any of those titles will do. Justin and Chris are a part of the JC team—and mixed the ingredients to most of the beautiful MV items you see at Dock Street. Andrea is a long time friend, she was even at the grand opening of my very first HULL shop 6-7 years ago! Andrea designs for Converse and is also juggling many other wonderful crafts and projects. She’s going to do big things. I’m surprised all of our faces haven’t fallen off from laughing so much.

Many of the customers/pals in the photos above and below—helped team up with the JC brand and do a bunch of charity work during the beginning of this summer. Julia and Lauren traveled from Maryland and New Jersey traveled together for their first JC Martha’s Vineyard experience! They also met each other through this brand too!
Ry is the Santa Claus of Johnny Cupcakes. This customer resides in Hawaii. He’s been sending thank-you care packages to all of our shops, he’s surprised other JC customers with Hawaiian gifts and JC shirts—and most recently, Ry has traveled out to camp out in front of the Johnny Cupcakes Los Angeles shop with the rest of the Johnny Cupcakers out there (some of whom camped out on the streets for 11 and a half days for our special edition t-shirts and private event.) A few weeks after that, Ry traveled out to Boston and Martha’s Vineyard for the first time ever. This is Ry shopping not only for himself, but for many other Johnny Cupcakers around the world who didn’t have the chance to make it out. He even went as far as creating mini posters for each them, for me to sign. What a thoughtful, awesome, magical guy. We love you Ry!
I met an awesome lady named Felice, who glowingly approached me with a t-shirt care package. She told me how her two young middle school sons were inspired by the Johnny Cupcakes brand, to start their own t-shirt line called Chub Chub. Best of luck Max and Dommie! You guys got quite the head start on me, I know you’re going to do some cool things. And incase anyone who is reading this who might still be in middle school, high school or college—starting a business while in school is key. You’ve got so many students and teachers who would support you, and heck—you might even be able to get extra credit! Keep creating!
Loading and unloading the Johnny Cupcakes’ cupcake mobile every day & night. The loads are getting a lot lighter as we’ve been selling these collectable products. Remember, once these t-shirts are gone, they’re usually gone forever…
We’ve met many more wonderful families and customers—and we’ve also shared bundles of positive memories and experiences here on the island. I’ll do my best to blog more photos soon.
