Johnny Cupcakes is the original unordinary bakeshop.

After starting out of the trunk of a car in 2001, Johnny Cupcakes has grown to be an exclusive, international brand with "faux-bakeries" in Boston, London and Los Angeles. Over the past 10 years, an inspiring community of collectors has formed, prompting customers to camp outside the stores for up to two weeks for limited edition product releases. Click through the story above to see more about the events, places and people that make up the brand.

Hello Orlando, Florida.

Despite the 2 hours of sleep, and waking up at 6:00 am, I was pretty excited about the jam-packed schedule that Full Sail University had in store for me.

In the morning I had a short interview with The Daily Buzz show. It was a really neat studio and I met a lot of fun people.

These amazing posters were all over campus. I forgot to get one for myself!full_sail_poster
Tereza and Matt made my Orlando/Full Sail trip quite the memorable one!

As did Brandon and Scott. Two rad, long-time customers who hung out most of the day. Scott actually was one of the winners of the Johnny Cupcakes Water Bottle contest. Clickhere to see his youtube video that made him a winner. I plan on posting links to everyones videos soon… there are so many good ones!

Full Sail University even has their own movie backlot! Jam packed with fake businesses, buildings, and even a gas station! It’s a film students wet dream.

Amazing recording studio. I’m telling you, this school is all about hands on learning. In my opinion, it’s the best way to learn. Rather than reading books and playing the whole memorizing information for tests– you actually go out and learn through real life experiences. Yeah, they do have some classes like any other school, but it’s fun! And you’re always working on creative projects. I know when I attended the South Shore Charter School for high school, my border line learning disability almost became obsolete due to the hands on, project-based learning. If/when I have kids, this school is my top choice for them so far.

These students have gone on to work on many recording artists that we all listen to today. Far to many to list, but it’s an impressive, gigantic roster! Let’s just say that Michael Jackson’s Dangerous album, and Jay-Z’s Black Album were worked on by Full Sail graduates. Not to mention some of the sound effects in Avatar.

Any school with an arcade, is a good school in my book! They even had some arcade machines that were full of video games that were created by Full Sail students!

Meet Mike. He created that rad Johnny Cupcakes event poster that I showed you earlier. Great job Mike!

450+ students came out. 150 students over capacity. I gave these students everything I had. Learning lessons, examples, stories, samples, useful resources, tips, and more. I lectured here for more than 4.5 hours and not one person left. The Q+A session afterward, was probably an hour long. A lot of great questions from all of the students! Felt good knowing how serious, involved, and interested everyone was. Apparently this has been the biggest, most attended lecture that Full Sail University has ever had.

I stuck around until 1:00 am or so, hanging out and having personal conversations with almost every person who attended the lecture. The line-frenzy was piling out the lobby and pouring out into the parking lot.
