Neat Packaging: Pencil Sharpeners

Some old fashioned packaging for some old fashioned pencil sharpeners. I’m always fascinated by different types of packaging, design, and how it has an affect on the consumer. I find myself purchasing products all the time, just for the packaging. Maybe I should thank my Auntie Linda for hooking me up with all those He-Man action figures when I was a little boy. I was always saving the packaging and drooling over the different toys advertised on the back. Skunkor was my favorite.

Suitcase Tour Progress.

Wow– I’ve received hundreds of e-mails about The Johnny Cupcakes Suitcase Tour! Thank you everyone so much for the helping hand in letting me hang out + sling t-shirts out my suitcase at your business. In the next 7 days I should have everything all planned out. Most of the dates + locations are penciled in. The first stop will be in NYC on Friday, April 2nd at 8:00 pm. I’m very excited to travel around the U.S. + Canada for this. There’s still a bunch of locations that aren’t locked in yet. If you or a friend own a business and want to help out in curating this tour, you’ve only got a few days to e-mail  Tour@JohnnyCupcakes.com

Childhood Toys: Talkboy

I must of made hundreds of prank phone calls with this crafty device when I was younger! I thought it was brilliant how Home Alone 2 specially created a product for their movie that was ready to hit shelves once the movie hit the big screen. It’s interesting how something so simple can provide great amounts of entertainment. Hopefully this commercial brings back some of your childhood memories!
