Oldies but goodies: Commercials

These vintage commercials are great! It’s interesting + fun looking back on how simple commercials used to be in the beginning. It seems like there was a lot more acting, energy and hard work(or not). I hope you get just as much of a kick out of these as I do. I could watch these commercials for days.

Oldies but goodies: Music

As I was falling asleep watching old youtube videos, I began to dig for really old ones. These few nostalgic gems stuck out. Sometimes I wish I was around back then… or at least to go back in time for a bit. My almost every day schedule would be as follows; Slick hair back, throw on my varsity jacket, pick up Suzy-Q at 8:00, grab some milkshakes and hit up the drive in. I’m going to try to do something close to that in real life, this summer/fall. It would make me happy. Anyways, enjoy the footage below!

James ‘Logan’ Howlett.

A few new treats should be available online + in stores this week. Also, there was a mis-hap in shipping, and LA will have their Bakers Dozen t-shirt delivery on Friday at some point. xjc

Invisible Children.

In the midst of my working, traveling and resting up from being sick – I received a good portion of e-mails. While trying my best to sift through some of them on Sunday — I found an e-mail where I was invited to take part in this worldwide movement which brings attention to the rescue of child soldiers in Uganda. Unfortunately I just found out about it, and it happened this past Saturday.I figured I’d post about this in hopes of spreading the word. My friend Bobby Hundreds was invited as well, and these two students whipped up this neat video invitation.%1%

I sound like Large Marge.

Traveling when you’re sick is the worst. I’ve been in Los Angeles for the past couple of days. Hopefully my throat heals in time for my lectures. I sound like Large Marge from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. large_marge_scream
I just updated the events section on my website, which lists two California lectures that are open to the public. If you haven’t been, come hang out. Also – Boston just got their Bakers Dozen shirts in today. LA should have theirs on Tuesday. Don’t sleep on these!
