My Mom got my Dad some excellent tickets to the Celtics game for Christmas. My Dad and I ventured off to The Boston Garden the last night, to see the Celtics vs Toronto. The last time my Dad and I went to The Garden, was when I was 7 or 8 years old. He brought me to a WWF match. Papa Shango vs The Undertaker. I was so excited/scared when Papa Shango came out with his voodoo smoke.

Our seats were great! We were right behind Toronto. Even though we weren’t behind The Celtics, it was still amazing. Hahaha…every time Toronto would lose the ball or not score, their coach would say bad bad words and kick his chair really hard.

After the game ended, we had to scurry through the human-like stampede in order to make it to the massive parking lot down the street.

Do you remember that episode of Rescue 911 where the kid gets caught in the escalator? When I was a youngin, I honestly thought that there was someone video taping the poor kid die, and not helping (same with every other Rescue 911 episode). I was like, hmmm… it’s kind of strange that there’s always a helpless, random person conveniently carrying a video camera when a child decides to climb out a 10 story building window, or when a snake bites someones bum bum when they’re going cah cah, etc. etc..

After walking around the humongous, most confusing parking garage for 33 minutes, I began to feel like I was in The Labyrinth with David Bowie. There were so many stairs, levels, and cars…

I have an idea! Let’s play press the car alarm button a billion times with my cold, numb fingers, in hopes of finding my vehicle!

My cousins from Martha’s Vineyard came over for a super quick visit, and so I could give them their belated Christmas gifts. I’ve been trying to get my little cousins dvd’s and toys that I had when I was a kid – in hopes that they grow up to have a fun, creative, semi-weird brain like me! I got them Garbage Pail Kids cards, a toy rocket, a prankster pack, the Goonies dvd, Never Ending Story 1 & 2 dvd, Batman dvd, magic tricks, and more! I got my cousin/uncle Yo Yo some Greek slip ons that my good friend Brandon passed down to me. I also got them a handful of other gifts & surprises too.
Yo Yo is the Greek fellow that my Portuguese cousin married. His Mom used to babysit me when I was growing up (god bless her). I’m not Greek, but I was pretty much raised by Greeks. From the naughty and nice language, to the delicious food. My Greek god parents lived next door, so growing up was always a blast.
My cousin Missy was home own and business owner at the age of 24 too. She’s an amazing entrepreneur, and is super creative. Usually she has the best, homemade costumes for herself and her kids on Halloween. If I remember, I’ll post some photos when the autumn rolls around.

Last year I got the kids the Monster Squad dvd, and Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. They absolutely loved those movies. When seeing the Pee Wee Herman Bicycle at my house, they couldn’t get enough. Bella was loving it!

She wasn’t so bad at Tales From The Crypt pinball either!

Look at those cute dimples!! When she smiles in real life, it looks like she has small belly buttons on her cheeks (in a good way).

Last year I spent a long day at the beach on Martha’s Vineyard with Alex, Bella, and the family. Uncle Eddie cooked some amazing food as usual. Alex reminds me of myself a lot. He’s always making experiments, loves gross things, infatuated with magic tricks and adventures. While we were at the beach last year, he picked up a giant dead bluefish like it was nothing. Bella is obsessed with The Food Network. Every time she’s at Chef Uncle Eddie’s house, she’ll sit down and happily watch the The Food Network for hours upon hours. I got her a kids cookbook for Christmas. Both of these amazing also kids ride horses and rule at life. I love my Martha’s Vineyard family.

My sister has a bit of O.C.D.. It’s rubbed off on some of her friends and on me a little bit. For example; If the water is freezing at the beach in the summer, my sister will say to her friends, “If you don’t go in the water, you’re going to have the worst summer ever!” as she laughs and cackles away. Or she’ll say to me, “If you don’t get me a bowl of ice cream, your company is gonna go down the drain!”. It sounds mean, but it’s so funny because it makes people do some of the things she says.. Hahaha…
My sister is hilarious, and she has the loudest burp in the world, she’s a speed racer when it comes to driving, she’s super smart and has been going to school for business, and she’s amazing at mario brothers.
Happy Birthday to my favorite sister in the whole world! I love you and I’m so proud of how well you’re doing in college! You better wear your seatbelt or you’re gonna get bad luck!

Not many people outside of Massachusetts know what candlepin bowling is. The bowling balls are way smaller and have no finger-holes. The bowling pins are super thin (like candles). It’s a bit more difficult than your normal bowling, and way more fun. Jam packed with strategy – I organized a small bowling night with some friends.

Fellow magician, Clark, married duo – Danny and Liz, have been visiting and staying with me for the past two weeks. After experiencing a bit of New England weather, I thought they’d enjoy this candlepin bowling sport/challenge. Liz isn’t a fan of clam chowder or scary movies. Danny isn’t a fan of mac and cheese (crazy, I know). This cute married couple challenged each other. The loser would have to do one of those things they don’t enjoy. If I remember correctly, they tied. Although, the following morning – Liz got demolished in ping pong a heap of times, and now has to eat a tub of clam chowder while watching a scary movie.

Speaking of married couples, my friends Greg and Backa, as well as Brendan and Mary – are getting married soon. I know I know, my time will come when it comes… however – this whole mating/marrying season that my friends are experiencing, is not helping me one bit. I’m very happy for these guys though – they’re all perfect matches!

I actually worked and toured with these 3. We all worked together at Newbury Comics in 2000-2002ish? Brendan plays drums for Beyond The Sixth Seal, and Greg plays bass for Beyond The Sixth Seal, as well as The Red Chord. Backa, she’s training to be one of the best dentists in New England!

We just got a sweet new printer. It’s almost as big as my body, kinda. I remember when I was a kid, my Mom had this crazy olde fashioned IBM printer. Every time I had a birthday party, she would print out these super long paper banners that said “Happy Birthday Johnny” – except each letter was made out of hundreds of little letters. It was pretty awesome.
A lot of new design recipes are being baked up. We’re making some good adjustments to make this new year well rounded and special. If of you see something online, be sure to grab it, because 98% of the shirts (and scarfs) you see, may not be available again after they’re sold out.
