October is here! Go pick up some pumpkins, candy corns, apple cider, horror movies and a comfy hooded sweatshirt. If you haven’t been to New England during the fall, you’re missing out! It’s my all time favorite season. Today my friend Sheri and I checked out this cool, pumpkin filled farm stand that we discovered while running errands. Oh yea, I found a great database of haunted houses all over the US. I hope it brings you some fun, memorable adventures! (HauntedHouse.com)

Mike and Cathy of SJC Drums stopped by this afternoon to chat. We’re working on a one of a kind surprise. Expect a preview on my blog, sometime in October. Mike eats, sleeps and breaths work – just like me! It’s always nice seeing a hard working, young entrepreneur! Check out sjcdrums.com to see what else he’s up to.

Perfect fall weather today! I’m thankful to still be alive after acting like a madman trying to take photos while driving. Oh yea, Red Sox won again! Then I sat in traffic for a good chunk of time. Speaking of, I wonder what’s going to happen in the future? The population keeps growing and growing. Where are all these cars and people gonna go? Where’s everyone going to get buried when they pass away? How many more ipod versions are gonna come out?

Sorry my computer screen looks a little wacky. Here’s a sneak peak at the ‘Wolfman CaCa’ packaging. He is one of the upcoming creatures from series #2 (hahah…get it? Series number 2) – of ‘Theres Something In The Cupcake Mix’. The 4 upcoming designs are limited and numbered up to 150. Only one colorway of each design will be offered. These collectible shirts will be WAY more limited than last years, and I wouldn’t be surprised if these sell out at the release in Boston. I will however, be saving only a couple shirts of each size per design, to offer online. I cannot say when they will be available online just yet. It’s going to be a gruesome struggle to get a hold of these. I highly suggest you be at the opening on Saturday October 13th if you want one or all of these. Some other new seasonal shirts will drop that day as well. I’ll be keeping you posted and up to date with other sneak peaks and what not.

Getting stuff in the mail can be one of the most exciting things, OR the complete opposite(if it’s bills, junk mail or Columbia House trying to scheme you). Sometimes I think I buy stuff online JUST so I can get some fun, real mail. And opening up fun mail subconciously reminds us of Christmas, birthday gifts and being a kid. Not many companies want to go that extra mile to bring you packaging. Instead they choose cut corners and make as much profit as they can. Packaging, little details and building an experience – is very important to me. So what does this mean? It means that I’ve got a lot of great surprises ahead of me that you’re sure to enjoy. Anyways, this is what we’re shipping almost all of our online orders in.

As you can see in the online store, we have a few website exclusives, bake sale items, and some new products. In addition to that, we’re now shipping all of our national orders through UPS, with you having the option of how quickly your items will ship. And international orders – we’re shipping through USPS. Just a few ways we’re working to improve things and to make everyone happy.

‘There’s Something In The Cupcake Mix’ preparation begins. I’ll keep you up to date with more info/sneak peaks on the shirts, packaging, exclusivity & what not. One of my cooks, Mister Northridge Blake is holding one of the new event flyers(more info in the events section). You know what I love? The smell of newly printed flyers, stickers, freshly mowed lawn & Christmas Trees… Chocolate chip cookies too.

…Shipping out a daily fresh batch of your online orders. You know what’s crazy? The internet. It’s unbelievable. I remember my mom helping me type out my homework on this 5 x 5 green computer screen that took pancake sized floppy disks. Or how about playing The Oregon Trail and Carmen Sandiego games? I remember when Aol first came out and you had so many choices for screen names. My friends and I would go in all these completely absurd chatrooms to mess with people…hahaha… Ebay’s early appearance & discovery was awesome. So awesome you could even purchase real human organs(and humans for that matter!).
Now you can get almost anything in the world with the push of a few buttons. You can educate yourself on anything. You can keep in contact with friends from around the world. I remember watching ye olde Total Recall and being blown away at all the futuristic video conferencing devices. After a little bit of time went by, we can now video chat. What’s next? Hoverboards? Hoverboards that float on water!?
